Laser Dentistry Services

Painless Restorative Dentistry
Our Solea laser allows us to treat teeth without needles and numbing by vaporizing cavities using light pulses, air, and water. It helps reduce chair time, allows Dr. Phil to accomplish more dentistry per visit, and helps your child return back to school or their after school activities without the dreaded numb feeling in their mouth.

Tethered Oral Tissues
Tethered Oral Tissues, or TOTs, are tight muscle and fascial attachments that restrict the proper function of the tongue, lip, or cheeks. They are commonly called tongue, lip, and cheek "ties". Restrictions may lead to various problems including poor breastfeeding latch, speech and language pathology, and other oromotor functions.

Soft Tissue Sculpting
Gingival hyperplasia is a very common finding in patients going through active appliance or orthodontic therapy. Poor hygiene habits are usually to blame. If your child needs maintenance of this excessive gum growth at any time during or after braces, our laser can perform wonders. This excess tissue can be the reason for the dreaded white spot lesions around brackets!

Operculectomy
Behind an erupting permanent molar, your child may experience the growth of an irritating gum tissue called an operculum. This extra flap of tissue can can trap food, bacteria and debris and cause operculitis, a condition where the gum can become very painful. Sometimes we also find cavities growing underneath this flap of tissue. With our laser, we can painlessly restore normal health and function of the molar and surrounding gum tissue.

Canker Sore Treatment
Aphthous ulcers, commonly known as canker sores, are pesky and painful lesions that can affect your child's quality of life. It can be very difficult to eat, drink, or talk and it can take many days before the ulcer settles down and starts the healing process. With our laser, we can accelerate the healing process and provide immediate relief.
